چکیده

In recent years compressive sensing has been successfully introduced in digital holography. Depending on the ability to sparsely represent an object, the compressive sensing paradigm provides an accurate object reconstruction framework, from a relatively small number of encoded signal samples. Digital holography has been proven to be an efficient and physically realizable sensing modality that can exploit the benefits of compressive sensing. In this paper, we overview the theoretical guidelines for application of compressive sensing in digital holography and demonstrate the benefits of compressive digital holographic sensing. Overview of compressive sensing techniques applied in holography [Invited].

In recent years compressive sensing (CS) has been successfully introduced in digital holography (DH). Depending on the ability to sparsely represent an object, the CS paradigm provides an accurate object reconstruction framework from a relatively small number of encoded signal samples. DH has proven to be an efficient and physically realizable sensing modality that can exploit the benefits of C...

Compressive Sensing in Holography

Compressive sensing provides a new framework for simultaneous sampling and compression of signals. According to compressive sensing theory one can recover compressible signals and images from far fewer samples or measurements that traditional methods use. Applying compressive sensing theory for holography comes natural since three-dimensional (3D) data is typically very redundant, thus it is al...

Reconstruction guarantees for compressive tomographic holography.

Three-dimensional (3D) object tomography from a two-dimensional recorded hologram is a process of high-dimensional data inference from undersampled data. As such, recently, techniques developed in the field of compressive sensing and sparse representation have been applied for this task. While many applications of compressive sensing for tomography from digital holograms have been demonstrated ...

Compressive holography of diffuse objects.

We propose an estimation-theoretic approach to the inference of an incoherent 3D scattering density from 2D scattered speckle field measurements. The object density is derived from the covariance of the speckle field. The inference is performed by a constrained optimization technique inspired by compressive sensing theory. Experimental results demonstrate and verify the performance of our estim...

Improved depth resolution by single-exposure in-line compressive holography.

A single-exposure in-line (SEOL) holography is a digital holographic setup that has been used in the study of cell identification. In this paper we demonstrate improved three-dimensional performance of the SEOL holography setup by applying the principles of the recently introduced compressive-sensing theory. This, along with proper modeling of the sensing process, enables improved depth-resolut...
